I ate lunch here Saturday 11-01-24 I had bowl of matzo ball soup-broth plain and light, it greatly missed the celery and carrots but the matzo balls were good, also Tuna Salad Sandwich very tasty and generous along with my wife’s chicken salad sandwich, I also suggest that for hamburger and sandwiches regular thin French Fries should be served, not the fat steak fries they serve because they are too heavy and potatoey, and the only other choice is paying 7.95 extra for waffle fries which should be substituted for free if you don’t like steak fries
This place has gotten a lot better. I believe there are new owners as it is now called just "Dove Diner" rather than "Golden Dove." I come here a couple times a week as it is a local place and open 24x7. I definitely recommend the Gyro Sandwich, nice and big. Also recommend the French Dip Panini, with the Au Jus. And every breakfast dish I've had here has been very good. Waiting staff is excellent. Owner is a very nice guy. Prices are very reasonable. 5 Stars
Anyone saying the Dove is dirty should give it another try. I was there recently with my husband and kids. It had been several years since I was there. I was surprised to see it wasn't the dingy old dive of a diner i remembered it to be. The food is better and the service was friendly and efficient. I am ordering delivery tonight.
The Golden Dove has went through recent changes which we have been enjoying. The food used to be on and off, sometimes great, sometimes okay, but we still came here for the convenience. But recently for the past 6 months or so the food has been consistently great. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and even their dinner specials are a great value, great portion and most importantly tastes good.
Great food, fast service
This diner is our go to spot. We used to go to Andrews, but after finding a roach on the floor there we decided to try the Dove. The owners are always smiling and we love the cucumber salad they give you as a starter. The food is always great. We especially love their gyro and paninis. Also great Greek salad here.
